About The Artist

Welcome!  I’m Emily Howell, the creator of The Howell’s Nest. An artist and builder of whimsical things and a mama-of-one to an adorable lil’ man who tends to keep our family incredibly busy. When I’m not designing a project for the house or yard- I’m crafting, perusing Pinterest or planning the next addition to our cozy nest.

Whether it’s painting a weird looking monster or sewing tentacles on a deep-sea creature – I love creating something unique and yes…different!  I find we LOVE strange and unusual at our house.

I consistently have three projects in varied stages of completion. My husband is my rock and helps me stay grounded and focused through this incredible journey.

Being creative is in my blood, my momma crafts and quilts as well. We design our own patterns and projects along with painting pieces that turn into one-of-a-kind creations.

My family and I work hard and play hard. If you can’t find me here, I’ll be outdoors tending to the flowers and weeds. So please, sit and stay awhile-I hope you find something that inspires you as much as it has inspired me.
